Ellen Morrison MS, RD, LDN, CEDRD

Ellen Lachowicz Morrison, MS, RDN, LDN, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDRD) has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders since 1994. She opened her private practice, E.L.M. Wellness in Raleigh, NC in 1998. Ellen started her career at the Renfrew Center Florida in 1994 and in 2006 was part of the initial staff at Carolina House where she developed a unique and effective nutrition program and was instrumental in setting the facility’s policies and procedures. Ellen was the content advisor for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) 2012 position paper and practice paper regarding eating disorders. Ellen has also written articles on this subject. She is associated with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). She has worked with the media in outreach, prevention and public awareness. Ellen has appeared as a discussion panelist with Susie Orbach, PhD, is a professional speaker on the topics of eating disorders and nutrition counseling and has taught college level nutrition. As a member of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), Ellen is an advocate for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders and has organized educational and fund raising events on NEDA’s behalf.
